Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a 2011 American science fiction-action film. It is the third installment of the live-action Transformers film series, directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. It is the sequel to Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and was released on June 29, 2011.[2][3] The film was released in both 2D and 3D formats, including IMAX 3D,[7] and featured Dolby Surround 7.1 sound.[8] The film sets three years after the events of the last film. As the Autobots continue to work for NEST—a United States military—they discover a hidden alien technology in possession of humans, which is in fact the fuel cell for a crash landed ship called the Ark, discovered by the first manned mission to the moon: Apollo 11. The ship contained an invention which will be used to transport Cybertron itself to the atmosphere of the Earth, and enslave Humanity to rebuild the war-torn and barren planet.
